Getting a gym membership is one thing. knowing what to do once you are in there is a completely different story!
Disclaimer: there is nothing wrong with doing 30 minutes of elliptical then wandering around doing random machines, however, there is a better way... or "whey" if you will.
Strength training is the most efficient way to build muscle and decrease body fat. Getting stronger, increasing lean muscle, and decreasing body fat will help us live longer, look better, decrease risk of injury, improve posture, increase energy, improve confidence, help us keep up with our kids/ grandkids, etc.
But how? How many reps, sets, workout duration, etc?
There is no magic formula. But there are some simple rules to follow to help you get going in the right direction. Following a program that gradually increases intensity is the way to go.

I will post workouts Mon-Fri that will help you feel confident in the weight room, see better results, and use your time efficiently. You don't need two hour workouts or to "confuse" your muscles.

Daily, detailed workout for Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri,
45-60 min in duration
Warm-Up & Cool-Down
Workout will be released the night prior at 7:00pm CST
Each day will have a travel/ home option
Mon/ Thurs = Lower Body
Tues/ Fri = Upper Body
Wed = Core & Cardio
This program will work for nearly anyone. If you goal is to gain weight, do this program and increase your caloric intake. If you goal is to lose weight, do this program and decrease your caloric intake.
